Community Action and Resilience Initiative (CARi) is a national, non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organisation registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission under Registration Number 6476. Our head office is at Afex River Camp, Juba.
We were established by South Sudanese humanitarian and development professionals who had spent years delivering programmes for international agencies, and who saw the same pattern repeatedly: responses designed far from the community rarely last. CARi was created to close that gap — combining local legitimacy with the systems, safeguards and discipline that donors and communities alike require.
Today our work spans three connected portfolios — Protection, Health, and Community Engagement & Innovation — supported by a monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning function that keeps us honest about results.
